Like the first Cam Outdoor, the v2 captures 1080p video at 20fps and has 8x digital zoom. Just note that enabling this mode requires an initial connection to the hub. This mode makes it ideal for everything from camping to keeping an eye on your boat. Instead, you can simply connect to the camera from your phone to record and view motion and time-lapse videos. The storage card also enables Travel Mode, which allows the camera to operate without a connection to the hub (or the internet). The base of the camera includes a Sync button and a microSD slot for local video storage (it supports cards up to 32GB). There's also a status LED that flashes yellow and blue when pairing with the base station, pulses blue when connecting to your network, glows solid blue after a successful connection, blinks red while charging, and shows solid red when the battery is full. It sits on top of a magnetic mounting base that lets you tilt and swivel it to get an optimal viewing angle. The camera is a white cube that measures 2.2 inches on each side.
